The result of my life’s experiences and love of the theatre is enthused in my art. It is filled with vibrant colour, depth and movement. I also love different textures and this is evident in pieces that stand away from the canvas, almost as a living breathing piece of art.

A few years back a couple of my friends died from cancer and I had an urge to paint to show the emotions that I felt and as a beautiful ode to their lives.  This helped me with the healing process and I would love for my art to resonate deep into people’s lives by bringing emotions of joy and healing when looking at my pieces. My art flows from me, it comes from my heart, I am certain this is a result of my practice of Nichiren Diashonins Buddhism (SGI UK) chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.

I work using acrylics on canvas in vivid colours, movement and texture and often paint with my hands, adding a bit of glitter to most paintings.

I find painting to be an immersive process and it feels like I've fallen into a different word and dont even stop for a cuppa! But at the end I Instinctively know when a piece is complete, I finish a flow and then stand and look quickly, then with a few strokes of paint the creative process will be complete.
